Important Notice:
The amended (Bill 73-2004) Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act has an effect on ministry contracting procedures.
Consequently, staff must not sign contracts that:
- are direct awards; or,
- result from a competitive process that closed after October 12, 2004; or,
- are contract renewals; (please see this document for specific information--if you need clarification contact Legal Services or Information and Privacy Branch.)
which involve personal information, without including the updated Privacy Protection Schedule in the contract. If your contract contains particularly sensitive information, or involves contractors or subcontractors outside Canada, contact Legal Services Branch or the Information and Privacy Branch, for assistance.
